According to the Public Relations Office of the Bushehr Province Water and Wastewater Company, the closing ceremony of the 17th National Festival for Learning the First Word (Water) was held in Mazandaran Province, where selected water and wastewater companies were introduced. At the ceremony, the water and wastewater companies of South Khorasan, North Khorasan, Bushehr, Hormozgan, Markazi, Mazandaran, Fars, Ardabil, Lorestan, and Golestan provinces were recognized as the top 10 companies of this edition. The nationwide festival “The First Word: Water” is held with the aim of promoting a culture of protecting water resources, teaching optimal water consumption, and institutionalizing responsibility toward this vital resource among students. This national event, in cooperation with the National Water and Wastewater Engineering Company and the Ministry of Education, provides the ground for expanding educational and cultural activities in schools and conveying water consumption management concepts to families. The continuation of this festival over 17 editions reflects the importance of education and cultural development in water consumption management—an approach pursued with the participation of students, families, teachers, and the public relations offices of water and wastewater companies. According to announcements made on the sidelines of the event, planning is underway to hold the 18th edition of the festival with Markazi Province as host.
